On a beautiful day that was Sunday last, the Kerry Cross country season
got underway with blue skies and sun shining, and although the ground was
a little wet underfoot, it could have been so much worse had it been the
day before!
There were some great performances by the close on 140 athletes taking
part including the winner of the men’s novice race, Brian Murphy of
Iveragh for whom it was his first foray into cross country.

So all to run for in next week’s meeting in Ardfert. The event is being
held on the lands of Bernie O’Mahoney and the directions are as follows,
go straight through Ardfert Village and continue on the road towards
Ballyheigue, pass the scrapyard on your right hand side and take the next
right hand turn, it will be signposted from there. It will be starting at
12 noon. Age Groups u9/u11/u13/u15/u17/u19/Masters, Cost e3-Medals for top
6 in each race and top 3 teams of 6 in each race
